Multi-Brand Store "Emporium" in Baku, Azerbaijan
アゼルバイジャン　ボートパーク　プロジェクト：「エンポリウム」

バクー（Baku）は、アゼルバイジャン共和国の首都で、カスピ海西岸に突き出したアブシェロン半島南岸に位置し、市街はバクー湾に面するように広がった港町である。アゼルバイジャン最大の都市であると同時に、南カフカース地域でも有数の大都市である。

現在、そこにシンテックス社により２５００平方メートルの大規模セレクトショップ「エンポリウム」を建設することを決め、招待コンペを勝ちぬいたギャルドはその基本構想、基本設計、そして実地設計を手掛けた。「シルクロードの通り道、西洋と東洋、中東とロシアが交錯し合う文化が混在する場所」をコンセプトに作られたＥＭＰＯＲＩＵＭはこの夏8月22日にオープンした。　

Garde won the competition to design a large multi-brand store called Emporium in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. The new, 2,500-square-meter store, developed by Sinteks MMC, is located at the marina of Baku's scenic bay overlooking the Caspian Sea. Garde provided the interior design, including basic concept design and basic design. Based on the narrow 80-meter by 8-meter space available for retail, Garde created a spacious feeling, integrating design concepts "Place where the Silk Road runs", "East meets West" and "East Europe meats Russia". The store has just opened in August 22nd.
